Millett & Wade.

Ben and Miriam, and industrial designer and a jeweller.

The combination of two crafts has happened here to bring together the design intent from Ben to create a premium men’s accessories range and Miriam’s jewellery background and skillset to bring the work to life and create the physical products.

After creating some bespoke jewellery and gifts for their own wedding which was well recevied an idea came to develop the groomsmen lapel pins into a men’s range. Both having studied in the National College of Art & Design and both running their respective businesses in the field this project is an extension of Miriam’s jewellery business, a step into the mens market and also drawing on all of the skills and experience to date.

After years developing her own jewellery business which focuses on the design and crafting of ladies fine jewellery collections and also unique commissions for wedding clients and various other jewellery commissions Miriam has developed a diverse skillset and business acumen within the jewellery industry.

Ben having been involved in running his own industrial design and product orientated businesses also brings a diverse set of business and creative skills primed for a fresh new collaboration with Miriam focusing on a gap in the market. A gap, noticed during the lead up to their own wedding whereby finding unique, high quality, crafted men’s goods to gift as mementos and keepsakes proved difficult and ultimately they ended up creating, amongst other things, custom lapel pins representing each wearer with an icon. This was to be the start of what would become this range and brand after being so well received following their wedding.

Now they hope to bring their crafts together in order to create quality goods that can act as tokens, mementos and perhaps even heirlooms for others on their special occasions, or even just for complimenting a smart outfit.
